March 17, 2013

I know it has been two weeks since a blog post. I have been putting this one off because I don't want to disappoint anyone. I am no longer going to be posting on this blog. My kids are getting older and I don't feel it is safe to have so much info on the web. I will continue to post pictures on Instagram so you can follow me there if you would like (you have to request access to phillips405). If I can't tell who you are I might deny you so email me or text me if you have a weird name. It has been a blessing to have been doing this for the last two years. In the beginning it was to keep everyone informed of the status of our amazing girls and now in the end it has been a way to keep everyone up to date about how stinking rotten (and adorable and amazing!!) all three have become! So with that said, here is the last blog entry.
Last week I had a random snow day so we did fun things like have a picnic in the living room.

We set up all the tents and tunnels and the girls tortured Miles.  (He is in the tunnel)

Then the next day I came home to a giant scaffolding in my living room.  Sam let the girls climb it.  I couldn't watch.

Then last weekend, Sam and I were getting ready to go to Cleveland and I lost the babies for about 4 minutes as I was loading the dishwasher.  When I found them upstairs, Pearl had pooped, taken her diaper off, wiped it on the chair, crawled in my bed and wiped it all over my duvet and sheets.  Malorie kept pointing at her and saying "Sissy naughty, Sissy pooped."  Arg!

So obviously there was none of this going on as I had to wash everything.  They do think our bed is the best place ever these days.  Today I found Malorie there after she went upstairs and got her blankie she then decided to get in my bed for a rest.  It was adorable.

Speaking of adorable!!

The kids and I went to the park last weekend because it was so beautiful out.  We had such a fun time.  We went to the baseball field and played pretend baseball for a long time.  Miles kept hitting home runs and running the bases.  The girls were happy to play in the dugout rocks.

Malorie decided to take a nap on her table.  She is interesting

Sam's ties are the most fun thing ever.  Daily, I pick up about 10 and put them back in his closet.  Miles is making himself a mummy here.  He also likes to make "army" vests out of them.  He also like to use them as fishing poles and fish off the balcony.

February 26, 2013

We finally got our tubes!!  All is well and everyone is home and grumpy.  The girls couldn't have any food or drink this morning and out surgery didn't happen until about 11 so that was the hard part!!  Everyone did great.  Both girls had lots of fluid in their ears and infections.  Pearl's was so bad the Dr. said it probably would have ruptured soon.  Good thing we finally got this done.  Maybe I won't have to sleep with Pearl anymore!

Pearl in recovery chowing down on the goldfish.

Malorie saying cheese.

Malorie still in her groggy phase

I know this is gross but Pearl is already draining some major gunk.  Poor thing

Tubes in two days.......I hope.  The girls got snotty noses on Friday so I will call tomorrow and see if we are still on or not.

Miles wanted a scary face so Daddy made him one.  Then, the followers had to have one too.  This is what Sam made them!!

It would be adorable if it wasn't out of beer boxes.

And we wonder why Aunt Marilyn doesn't want to come over any more.  She was here and a bunch of pirates tried to take her booty!

Miles started this and then the girls went and got their knives from the play kitchen to use as swords.  It was pretty cute.

The girls are loving their babies these days.  Their babies are on the same feeding schedule just like they were!

And the babies are still loving some ponies.  Miles loves them too.

But he makes his play in the batcave.

It was only a matter of time before this happened.  I am amazed it took them so long.  Pearl actually stood up and started jumping in it like she does in her bed.  It was pretty funny.

February 16, 2013

Lets see, we started out the week with another ear infection.  Pearl, of course.  She got another antibiotic shot and was fine in two days.  9 days and counting until tubes so I hope we can make it without getting sick!

Pearl was having an identity crisis the other day.  She couldn't decide between Spiderman, Buzz Lightyear, and Power Ranger.  Why  not do all three!

Malorie chose her birthday suit.

This girl!  She crawled back there, pulled the cribs together and started yelling "I'm stuck, I'm stuck" but really she says "I suck, I suck" and I laugh.

And the faces she makes!  She posed like this for about 5 seconds, so don't think it was just a silly face caught by a camera.

Oh, and this girl decided to take a bath in olive oil the other night.  This is the second time she has caught me with this one.  You would think I would learn.  Luckily Sam was home to keep the out of it until I could get it cleaned up.  Floor is still a bit slick over there.

We came up with a new game this week.....table flying.  Miles started it and then his sisters followed.  Poor Pearl wouldn't fit so I let her fly on the side table.  Then everyone wanted the side table so I said try the short way on the coffee table.

So they did and it was fun.

Then we had to stand and fly.  I love Pearl in this picture.  Taking it very seriously.

Happy Valentine's Day!!  The kids all got to have one thing before breakfast so Pearl picked her cadbury egg.

It was bigger than her.

Malorie picked a chocolate that had a doggie on it.

Miles picked his egg too.  Sam picked his egg too but I didn't get a picture of it.

Then Miles preschool went to McDonalds to have their Valentine's party.  He finally was forced to wear socks!

We decided to play super heroes this morning.  Everyone had a cape.  Pearl was taking a break from flying here.

Of course these two were side by side the whole time.  They would go to the cupboards and say "up up and away" and then run.  I tried to play once and Miles told me "only the kids can say that."  Well then.

These are the baby doll strollers the girls got for their birthdays.  Miles found a better use for them.  Race the sisters.

Cute Pearl.

February 10, 2013

Sam made Malorie into an Oompa Loompa after her bath.

Pearl was surprised by it.

Then everyone realized you can draw on the blanket with your hands which was really cool until Pearl decided to stop it all.

I had three snow days last week so by Tuesday, I was running out of things to do.  We made play-doh which took up an hour.  Everyone was very happy - and I must say, no one tried to eat it!  We are growing up!

We played in the snow that day too.  Pearl liked it this time.  She screamed her head off the first time we all went out.  This time she enjoyed digging and digging and digging.  That is until she remembered the swing set and took off for it.

Miles likes to play "baby napper".  I think it is because he is secretly hoping someone takes the babies away.

There they sit.  I think my mom spends a good 5 hours a week in this position.

These two are stinking rotten these days.  Adorable, and rotten.

and adorable and rotten

A moment of calm.  Do you see Miles Jr. next to him.

This is Miles favorite shirt.  He wears it at least three times a week.  As soon as the laundry is dry and I am folding it, he gets it out and puts it on.  He decided this week that he needed the patch to go along with his shirt.

Isn't Pearl lovely.  She had me put these on her and then she swung them so they would hit her cheeks.  She thought she was pretty cool.
