September 1

Conversations with a 2 year old.

Today was my birthday and this is a conversation Miles and I had while we were playing on the swing set.
"How old am I, Miles?"
"3"
"No, higher"
"You are a Mama."
Then I asked him if he was a boy or a girl.  He answered boy.  Then I asked him if I was a boy or a girl and he answered girl.  Then I asked him if Pearl was a boy or a girl and he answered, "she's a baby."  Then I asked about Daddy and he said, "he's a Daddy."  Then I asked him about Malorie and he said, " she is a baby."  I asked if she was a girl baby or a boy baby and he looked at me funny and said, "nooooo, she is a baby."

Before we went outside I was putting Malorie in her car seat and she started hitting her toys and grunting.  Miles asked what she was doing and I said she was playing and being silly.  He responded with, "she's crazy."

Party Pictures!  Pearl tried to jump right when it was taken.

Miles had been talking about the cake all day.  Finally, he got to have some and he was very happy.  I showed him his face in the mirror when he was finished and he started laughing.  He thought it was pretty funny that he was so messy.

The babies were being silly.

Then Malorie tried to attack Miles.  He didn't like it.

Malorie was so sleepy. She cuddled right up with Daddy and waited for me to put her to bed.

Pearl and Grandma Lori were reading books.  I mean eating books.

Cute Malorie

Cute Pearl.

Malorie has started acting like a big baby.  She is more controlled and deliberate with her actions.  She is reaching up high when she is on her tummy.  She can only do it though when her tongue is out.

Miles got a new car from Grunny's friend.  When he first opened it, Sam started driving it around with the remote and Miles chased it like a cat with a laser pointer.  It was pretty funny.  Then he figured out he could drive it and it was all over.  He thinks he can drive it is what I meant to say.  He yells "no" at it a lot and likes to pick it up and turn the wheels against his cheek.  I wonder how long it will last.....
