August 20

The girls finally had their 6 month wellness check at their Pediatrician on Thursday.  We had to cancel in July for a funeral and they couldn't get us in until now.  Malorie weighed 13 lb. 10 oz. and was 25 in. long.  Pearl weighed 11 lbs. 11oz. and was 24.5 in. long.  They are both around the 10% for length but not quite on the chart yet for weight.  They are gaining well and there are no concerns at this time.   They still are somewhere in between their actual and adjusted age as far as milestones go.  They can almost do everything 6 month-ers should be able to do which is ahead of the game since they are only actually about 4.5 months adjusted.  Way to go girls.  They are still not really wanting to eat yet though so that will be our next big accomplishment.

Miles and Malorie were hanging out and having a jammie party.

The girls were bored the other day so they asked if they could get some tats.  I told them I didn't care so they went and got matching blue bird tattoos on their arms.  I think they are rather becoming on young ladies.  Miles got one too but his was a heart that said "Mom" in it.  He is still sporting it but the girls had to get theirs removed before their Dr. visit.  I just couldn't bring myself to take them with them on.

FINALLY!  TOOLS!  Now my hair brush can stay in my bathroom.  I had to buy these when I saw them.  Even though I really, really didn't want to.  I knew I had to.  He started out not knowing which tool to use for what but he has gotten a little better.

Well, sort of.  He likes to drill his face but other than that, he usually uses them correctly.  He likes to fix the rug in the living room and the hole in the step is permanently filled in now with a plastic screw.  I have removed it several times but it keep reappearing so I think I will just leave it.  Oh, I forgot, I am not the owner of the tools.  We couldn't stop throwing them yesterday so they are mine now.  I can't decide what he has to do to get them back so we will see how it goes.

Malorie was attacking the baby in the mirror.  First she was licking her and then she started screaming at her.  It was very entertaining.

Baby Jacob and Tyler came to visit us on Friday.  Here is Jacob at 7 weeks weighing what Pearl weighs at 7 months.

Tyler and Miles were cruising around in the Hummer when they had an accident involving the tree.  I tried several times to get them to both look at me and say cheese but this was the best I could get.  Having Tyler here is scary because he is almost exactly a year older than Miles and it is a little glimpse into my future.  Arg!  Boys are tiring but they sure are funny.
