78 ounces of joy plus a 30lb. boy!: October 15

The girls had their 9 month check up yesterday at the pediatrician. They are doing great! Pearl weighed a whopping 13lbs 12 oz. She was 26" long. She isn't close to being on the chart for weight but she is in the 25% for height which is awesome! Go Pearl. Malorie weighed 16lbs 2oz. and was 27" long. She is between the 25% and the 50% on the regular chart! She has bulked up for the winter. Developmentally, the Dr. had no concerns as they seem to be meeting their milestones fine. Malorie impressed him with her scooting abilities.

Here is Malorie doing her tricks. She scooted all the way around the rug and then under the table. She is a pretty good backer because she fit in perfectly.

Pearl scooted over to the toys and dressed herself in the links. She also likes to pick things up with her feet which is quite impressive.

Now that the girls are on the move, we finally decided to lower the crib mattresses. This was a big undertaking and it happen to be bedtime. Miles decided he needed his hard hat and his tools to help Sam. Malorie was watching intently and Pearl passed out on the floor waiting for her bottle.

This is a few minutes later when Miles decided he didn't need his hat but his goggles.

Malorie has a spit beard.

Another new trick is that the girls hold their own bottles. It is wonderful. This morning I had a hand free to drink my coffee while they were eating!

Miles and I had a "Pudding Party" the other night. He ended up with a pudding beard. This is him saying cheese. The next night he said "mama, what time is it". I told him the time and he said "no, no" "what time is it". I told him I didn't understand and then he smiled at me and said "it is candy party time"

This might be the cutest picture ever! I got these headbands for our upcoming pictures but they happen to match our outfits today so we tried them out. Then Miles wanted one too so we had to take them off to prevent a melt down.
