March 11, 2012

Poor Pearl can't catch a break.  She is sick again this weekend.  I had to take Friday off to take them tot he ENT Dr. to see about tubes.  He wants them both to get them.  They can't until April 9th because of Pearl's pneumonia.  They need to wait 6 weeks.  We will see if they will even do it then because she now has another virus that is affecting her breathing.  I got so worried about her yesterday that I took her to Children's Urgent Care to have her checked.  They did a breathing treatment there that seemed to help her.  They also did some chest X-rays that showed she has no pneumonia.  So that is a plus!  She has to be checked tomorrow by our Dr. to make sure she is okay.  It could be RSV but at this point they would treat it all the same so they didn't do testing for it.

Before she got sick, Pearl had been teaching herself to write checks.  She keeps getting in my purse and stealing my check book and the pen.  She gets so proud of herself!

And this is what happens when I take them away.

Malorie couldn't be bothered with anything other than eating a cracker box.  Oh, she has also learned to walk ....... but on her knees!  She thinks she is really walking and gets so excited.  She looks very silly.

Pearl was playing with a knife.

We found Miles old sunglasses and the girls liked them.

Malorie wouldn't leave them but she liked them well enough to
fight with Pearl over them.

Pearl has one really long hair that you can kind of see on this side of her head.  It is a mutant hair as it grows out of a weird bump.  The Dr. thinks it is a friction wound from inside the womb.  I think it is a friction wound from her CPAP hat.  That is where the tube was safety pinned onto the hat.

This is how Pearl drinks her sippy's now.  She is the coolest.

Since it was so nice out today, Sam grilled out lunch.  Miles helped him and the girls watched.  Later on we all went out after naps.  The girls loved it.  They were not big fans of their swing though.  But if left hanging in it without swinging, they both almost fell asleep.
