The girls went to see the neurosurgeon at Children's on Wednesday. The good news is they don't need helmets! Malorie's head had a difference of 10 mm when we went two months ago and now it is a 6mm difference. Pearl's head had a difference of 17 at four months and now it is a 10mm difference. Although it is still flat, he believes it will continue to get better and by the time they are a year, it won't be noticeable. Super! I can't imagine wearing a helmet for 23 hours a day when it is this hot out. We would never be able to go outside again.
We borrowed a second exersaucer from our friends who had twins last year. Miles had to try it out before I got it put up. He approved.
A rare moment of quiet book reading. This is all we did when I was on bed rest and it seems so hard to find time to do it now.
They love to stare at each other while they play.
I took everyone to my aunt's house to go swimming. Cousin Mitch was there and said he had never held a baby before. Looks like he is a pro by the way Malorie is snuggling!
Pearl has become a Houdini of sorts. My way of transporting everyone when we go outside to play is to put the girls in their car seats and put them in the wagon. It is much easier than the stroller and we can go in the grass. I usually only put one strap on them because I just need to hold them up, not really keep them safe in a 60 mph accident. Pearl figured out how to get out of it though. I guess from now on they get the double strap.
Who needs a pool when you have a bucket of water. This started out as a water table of sorts but turned into a pool.
When we went out again in the afternoon, we took our clothes off first (Miles, not me). He had so much fun. It took about 20 minutes until he realized he could get me wet too. Then it became a chasing game. When he would wipe water on my leg I would pick him up and put him in the bucket. I'm afraid this will be the game from now on.
Our friends Nikhil, Charuta, and Vedant came to play.
Out of nowhere I caught Miles fixing the stair again the other day. Not only that, but..
he moved on to the banister as well.
I caught the girls actually fighting on the play mat. It was very funny as they were pulling clothes and yelling.
