We have had lots of adventures in the past week. Pictures will explain them better than I can.
Thursday, Miles and I went to COSI with our friends Sam and Jacobie. We thought the two year olds would like the dinosaurs. They did enjoy the exhibit but not the 3D dino movie that came with it. They only lasted about three minutes before they were both so scared they were asking to leave.
Miles and Jacobie were expert carpenters.
Saturday, we had some trees removed. The Amish man brought his three kids with him. Our friends from Chicago were staying with us and Meg was trying to befriend the children. It took awhile but she was successful. Miles wanted to hug them.
Uncle Brady and Aunt Erica came over to hold babies. It was appreciated.
We normally have a big fourth of July party but this year it was cancelled due to too many babies and not enough time to plan. Maybe next year. Instead we had a few friends out for a quick cook out because all of our babies go to bed at 8. In a rare second of compliance, we got all the kids to sit for a picture.
Dominic is the baby whisperer.
Sunday, two baby skunks took up house under the red wagon. They were there all day. When Miles wanted to play on his swing set, Sam had to go and try and get them to leave. It took about ten minutes, a shovel, and a baseball bat but they eventually left. Don't worry, the bat was not utilized but Sam did bring it out of the house just in case!
After the skunks left, we decided to get some lobster from our local lobster monger. They got a 5lb one because they had it. Here is Meg posing with her dinner.
Miles had to check it out. He was eating an ear of raw corn while waiting for dinner.
Here is the whole scene. Two babies in a wagon, sleeping. A giant pot of boiling water. A two year old playing baseball, and a giant lobster. Miles wasn't really playing baseball but he wouldn't move his gear. He thought the lobsters were going swimming in the pot. But he did say "I want to eat it" right after he saw them go in.
Malorie being adorable.
