Pearl got her PIC line removed yesterday and is currently at 26-28% oxygen. Her CPAP is still on an 8 which is okay. Her EKG came back fine which is great news. They think her lungs just need a little more time to get bigger. She is eating 16 ml of milk and it is getting fortified for extra calories. They are hoping this will help her gain weight.
Malorie has been on room oxygen since yesterday and is doing great. Her CPAP is at 6 which is the lowest. There was some talk of letting her try it without it but usually they don't do that until at least 32 weeks so we will see what the dr's think. They moved the girls to the main NICU unit this morning which is a bummer. We were in a quiet, wing with only 8 babies and now we will be in the big room where there are babies everywhere and no privacy. Who knows, maybe they will make some friends!
Malorie was very spitty yesterday so they took her CPAP off for a minute to clean her up. She woke up and I got to see her for the first time without anything on her face! She loves not having that thing in her nose.
I was holding Pearl when Sam came so he took a picture. She couldn't get comfy with all her gear on her face.
