February 14, 2012

Nothing says Happy Valentines Day like two one year olds getting into everything.  If that is their way of saying "I love you" then we are lucky!  Happenings that do not have pictures for obvious reasons:

I went upstairs to put laundry away and asked Miles if he saw the babies.  He said no which means they left the living room.  I ran downstairs to find them both in the bathroom, playing in the potty which was unflushed from their last #2 diaper change (gross I know, but sometimes we forget with lots of other things happening).  So I move one away from the toilet, go back for the other one and the first one is heading back towards it.  I ended up using my leg to keep one away while I got the door in front of it to block them.  We changed clothes, scrubbed hands, and Purelled their whole bodies.  It was bath night!

Next story:  The girls have been loving to get in the pantry these days.  I need to do some rearranging but haven't had time yet.  I was sitting on the floor playing with the girls in front of it, when I looked down and Pearl had taken out the olive oil and poured it all over herself.  It usually is too heavy for them so I don't worry about it but it was almost empty.  It has a pour spout on the top so she was shaking it upside down and drenched herself.  Then a little while later, Miles wiped out as he ran across the floor because it was still slick after I mopped it.

Miss Malorie in the pantry playing with the honey bear.  Notice the face she is making.  She only makes this face when I get the camera out.

I think this picture of Pearl is funny because she looks chubby and she is everything but.  Yesterday we went to the Dr. to get our Synagis shots and she weighed a whopping 16 lbs 4 oz.  Malorie topped the scales at 19lbs 2oz. There is another story in itself.  I got to work and realized they had their appt. that day.  Then I realized I didn't have the double stroller in the car.  I braved it and it was fine.  I had to have a little help getting them back in the car but otherwise, we were successful.

Another open mouth picture

Snack time!  The only thing Pearl willingly eats is graham crackers at 4pm.  Otherwise it is a battle.

We had a play date on Sunday with our old neighbors from Granville.  Anselmo vacuumed my entire house while Essie was a bit bored.  Thank goodness she came though because her happy meal toy bear was a hit with Miles.  He was obsessed.  You can't see Miles in this picture as he is sitting on the couch watching cartoons like a zombie.  He was very tired.  It was fun Mary!

Malorie was showing off her fangs.

Pearl was being a lady.  She also hasn't passed out in a week now!  She wanted to make me think it was going to be an all the time thing and then she stopped.  I am beginning to think they like the Dr's office and just want to go there to play with the paper on the table.

Miles got a recorder for Valentine's Day.  He can play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!  It is all the same note but you can pick out the tune.  The girls got maracas and a echo microphone.  We are planning on becoming a family band.  Stay tuned for our first hit.
