Nothing has changed with Pearl. She even weighs the same at 4lbs 9oz. I asked the nurse to check with the Dr. to get the estimated time frame but haven't heard anything yet. I'm sure they can't answer that question yet. I'm hoping that they will ween her to an open crib in the next day or two and then hopefully work on weening the oxygen. My fingers are crossed but ultimately, I just want her to come home. The nurse said she was up all last night wanting to be held. That breaks my heart as I feel like they are in an orphanage sometimes where no one has time to hold them. Now that Pearl is getting older, she doesn't want to sleep all day. She wants to see what is going on!
Malorie is doing well. She wanted to eat a lot yesterday. Hopefully she is packing on the ounces!
Miles is warming up slowly to the baby. Last night he asked to hold her so I very nervously let him for about five seconds. I still don't trust him as he likes her and then all of a sudden, he wants to smack her in the head. Hopefully that will get better with time because I won't have enough arms to keep him at bay when Pearl comes home.

Here is Pearl at week two. You can see how she is getting bigger and my hand has gotten skinnier (my rings fit again).
It appears that this issue of 78 ounces is all about hands.
