March 11

There is finally a plan for Miss Pearl.  They are giving her two month immunizations today.  They are going to try her off her oxygen Sat. or Sun. for one last chance at going home without it.  They are skipping the 1/32 setting and just turning it off from 1/16th.  There is no1/32 setting on the take home machine so that is why they are going cold turkey.  Regardless if she fails or not, they are going to put her in an open crib on Monday.  Hopefully then, two days after that if she is able to keep eating well and keep her body temperature up, she may come home!  I had a big talk with her and told her about doing her best.  I also told her that it is okay if she can't do it, we just want her to come home!
She had a big gain and weighs 4lbs.11oz. now.  Apparently she is ready to come home too as she is staying up all night wanting the nurses to hold her.  I will gladly hold her all day but at night her sister has to keep her occupied as I need a little sleep.
Pearl's wrist is completely healed.  The scab fell off yesterday and it looks fine.  I guess it had a little bit of infection but it cleared up with a little Bactriban.

Malorie got her shots today as well.  It was the saddest thing in the whole world.  When Miles was two months old I think he weighed 12 lbs.  That is twice as big as Malorie.  She got so mad her little face turned red and she didn't breath for a minute and then she cried real tears.  I told the nurse I had to sit and hold her for awhile.  She looked at me funny.  I just got my baby home so it is hard for me to have her crying.  I'm not to the point yet where it is a way of life!

Pearl surrendered to sleep.  She finally fills out her preemie clothes
Malorie was waving again.  She is so polite.

Miles got an early birthday present from his Grunny.  Elmo was a big hit.  He thought he looked hungry though so he fed him some turkey.
