Pearl is still on 1/16 of a liter and plans are to leave her there until she gets the bottle feeding down all together. She is doing well in that area. She picked it up a bit yesterday and was finishing them anywhere from between 5 and 15 minutes. She gained again and is up to 4lbs 9oz.
Malorie weighed 6lbs 3oz. at the Dr's on Tuesday. They wanted her to weigh a little more so they want me to make sure I'm bottle feeding after every nursing session (I started to slack off as she was growing well and it was so time consuming). She has to go back next week for a weight check.
Both girls had their eyes checked for ROP and both are fine so far. They check to make sure the blood vessels are mature in the eyes and that there isn't signs of ROP. There are no signs of it but they both still need to be checked again because their blood vessels aren't fully developed yet. (This usually happens around 40 weeks gestation so it will be soon). Wow, their due date is almost here!

Pearl was saying hi via cell phone picture.

I had heard that Pearl was able to join the crew of the last Discovery flight thus explaining this picture of her floating in space. Congrats to Pearl on being able to take part in this historic event and at such a young age.
