When I got to the hospital today I was feeling kind of glum. It was all just kind of getting to me. I'm sick of the drive, sick of leaving my other babies, sick of leaving my sick baby, and just tired. I guess you could say I was a bit on the grumpy side as well. As I walked in to see Pearl, I saw the nurse was the same one that released Malorie so she knew my girls. I went over to Pearl and noticed her oxygen saturation was a little low and I looked and she had her on 1/32 of a liter! This is exciting because they had tried to decrease her three or four times before and she had failed within minutes. I yelled because I was so excited and nurse Karen said that she had been on it since 8 am (it was around 12). I was so proud of her and it immediately lifted my mood. (I think I even started crying but I chalk that up to being tired) Even though her oxygen sat. was low, she was still doing it! She took a bottle and did well (which is usually hard to do if they decreased your oxygen) so we were all very optimistic.
Pearl was also awake for a lot of the time I was there today which is always a good way to cheer one up. She is so cute if I do say so myself! She tried to nurse and for the first time was somewhat successful. By that I mean she was at least able to latch on for a minute before she decided it wasn't for her. I think this is the first time I have tried when she has been truly awake. She gained again last night and is up to 4lbs. 3 oz.
Malorie is doing well. Her temperature was good today so I'm not sure what was going on yesterday. She seems to be having some reflux issues as she makes the most horrible noises after she eats and is lying down. I wish I had the inclined isolette they have at the NICU because I think it would help her. She did a little better last night and only needed a two hour feeding once.
I think Miles is realizing the baby is here everyday and he isn't liking it very much. Lets just say he is trying to get our attention in a lot of ways. I'm hoping once I'm not leaving every day to go to the hospital that he perks up a bit. The grandma's say he really is fine when I'm gone. It seems he just likes to put on a big show for his mama. I wonder what he will think when there is another one!

Malorie was looking so cute during tummy time.
Pearl was also having tummy time which made it difficult to get a good picture.
Miles was drinking his juice the way the cool kids do it - out of the handle!

Sounds like they are doing well. Hang in there Eryn. We ended up getting an incline wedge for Analeigh to sleep on for similar reasons. Let me know if you need it and I will hunt for it. It really helped. Miss you!
