February 12

Both girls were doing very well today.  Pearl is still on CPAP and 23% oxygen.  Her feeds are still at 27ml.  She smiled when I was holding her today but then she burped so I think that was the cause!  Last night she gained her ounce back and she is again over three pounds.  Actually, 3lbs and 1oz. to be exact. 

Malorie gained another ounce as well last night and is now at 4lbs. 7 oz.  I talked to the nurse this morning and she was going to try and maybe bottle feed her today but when I called to see how it went, she decided to try her off her oxygen instead.  As far as I know, that has been going okay.  Hopefully when I go tomorrow she will once again be free of all tubing on her face.
