February 8

Malorie is free at last!  She was so happy to get off her CPAP yesterday and has been doing well ever since.  She had a few spells over night but came right back up.  Today when I got there they had removed the whole CPAP machine from behind her isolette so I took that as a good sign that she won't be going back on it.  It has been so nice to hold her the last two days without it.  She seems like a real baby that is actually mine now because I can kiss her head and hold her.  She didn't gain any weight last night but no concerns as she has been growing like crazy.

Little Miss Pearl is making her own gains as they turned her CPAP pressure down to a 6 (the lowest setting).  She is doing great and as of this afternoon had not had any spells.  She gained a little yesterday and is up to 2lbs. 11oz.

Both girls had their second head ultrasounds yesterday and they seemed fine.  Good news!

Sam holding Malorie with her new found freedom.

Pearl was enjoying a snooze after being held, fed, and changed.

Malorie was getting ready to eat and she was wide awake after Sam held her.

When I was in the hospital on bedrest, Miles found my school picture stickers and put them all over the house.  It is kind of endearing as he would carry them around with him.  He found one today and decided to stick it to his lips for quite awhile.  Yes, he does own shirts, he just had decided he didn't want it on at that time.
