One home, one to go! Malorie got home last evening around 5:30. Miles wanted to poke her face. Then after a few minutes he got really excited and wanted to kiss her. He was pretty rough though and I almost had a heart attack. I've been trying to fend him off ever since. He does like her though which is great.
Our first night with a baby in the house was a little rough. Malorie couldn't settle down and kept making baby noises. She wouldn't cry, she just make squeaks and I couldn't sleep. Not to mention nursing, then bottle feeding, then pumping is a long process. I'm not going to complain until it is x2. All in all, I think I got 2 hours of sleep. I'm still writing the blog so I must be somewhat alright!
Pearl had a pretty good night. She gained 8 grams which puts her at 3lbs. 11oz. She took one bottle at 2am and had no spells. She smiled a lot when I was holding her. I think she was trying to make me really sad because we were leaving her there. They lanced her sore on her wrist and tried to drain it. Not a lot of stuff came out so they are still thinking it is okay and putting neosporin on it.

Girl time before we left.
I put Pearl in Malorie's bed before they could tell me no. I wanted a picture of them together.
Miles pointing to her eyes and nose right after we walked in the door.
I'm glad that Malorie made it home. I'll be praying for you guys as you continue to juggle your time. Miss you!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the girls together! How wonderful that you are 1/2 way home! I'm going to share some pictures with the class tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteEryn,
ReplyDeleteI just read through the entire month of Feb. I made Amy send me the link as I lost it. So happy for you that sweet Malorie is home. They are absolutely precious. I know you have to be exhausted - the nursing/bottle feeding/pumping is rough. We are thinking of you and your family! xo, Emily
